The Château de Laubade:
Today, the third generation of the family is maintaining the traditions of the 105-hectare vineyard of this house founded in 1870, located opposite the Pyrenees, in the heart of the Bas-Armagnac terroir. Château de Laubade is one of the very few properties cultivating the four traditional grape varieties of the appellation and, another remarkable fact, it is the only Armagnac house that produces its own barrels.
The Laubade “Celebration” vintages:
A range of vintages matured in Gascony oak barrels, ranging from 15 to 50 years of aging. Each vintage is unique, shaped by the vagaries of the climate that vary from one year to the next, but also by the care of cellar masters who have succeeded one another over the generations, each bringing their own specific expertise. The quality of the barrels and the temperature of the cellar are all factors that give a vintage its own unique identity.
