Armagnac in Brief:
Armagnac is the oldest brandy in France (over 700 years of history). It is produced by distilling dry white wine.
Produced in the Southwest of France, in Gascony, in small quantities and in an artisanal manner. Sourced from small producers or family businesses, it remains primarily consumed within France.
Due to the diversity of its terroirs and grape varieties, Armagnac offers a wide variety of flavors.
Most Armagnac (around 95%) is obtained with a still very specific to this brandy: the continuous Armagnac still (a single distillation).
